About

Christine works with the body as an intelligent system - one that knows how to reorganise when it's met with clarity, presence, and care.

Her work is hands-on manual therapy: gentle rather than forceful, working with the nervous system and the whole body. Sessions are guided by observation, careful listening — through the tissues, the nervous system, and the quieter signals that emerge as the body begins to settle. With a strong foundation in anatomy, movement, and clinical practice, her approach is precise, grounded, and responsive. She works with what is present, allowing patterns of tension, protection, and adaptation to soften without force.Alongside her clinical training, her work is informed by an ongoing contemplative practice that refines perception, timing, and steadiness — supporting how she listens and responds within a session. Rather than imposing change, she creates the conditions for the body’s own intelligence to lead.WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSIONSessions work directly with your autonomic nervous system, through gentle, precise contacts on the body and energetic field. In this state, the body feels safe to release tension, process stored emotions, and restore its natural rhythms. Many people notice reduced tension, easier breathing, and a greater sense of calm.Over time, the benefits go deeper. As the nervous system experiences repeated opportunities to reset, clients often notice an expanded capacity to meet daily stresses and challenges with greater ease. With consistent sessions, clients become more attuned to their inner states, and develop the ability to shift themselves out of stress and into regulation when needed. They begin to feel more connected — to themselves, to others, and to the world around them. A heightened sense of awareness, inner peace, and alignment can also be experienced.

The Work

Much of this comes back to something simple: your body already knows how to settle, repair, and find its way. It always has.Life gets busy, stress builds, and those signals grow harder to hear — but they were never lost. This is gentle, precise hands-on work that helps quiet the noise, so you can feel your own body clearly again, and from that clarity, begin to trust yourself.

THE PATTERNS WE CARRYThe tension you hold, the way you brace, the habits that run beneath thought — none of it is a fault. These are protective patterns: things your system built, often long ago, to guard something tender. Every one of them has served a purpose in your life.Which is why trying to force them away rarely works. When you resist a pattern, shame it, or push against it, your system reads that as more threat — and threat is exactly what created the pattern in the first place. So it holds on tighter, and the cycle continues.Something different happens when you turn toward them instead. The moment you become aware of a pattern, and acknowledge the ways it has looked after you, something begins to shift — gently, and on your own terms. It isn't built around one-off sessions. At first, it is the consistent weekly or fortnightly rhythm that lets the work do what it does. Sessions don't fix or override the body; they create the conditions for it to reorganise when it's ready. No single technique is applied — what's present determines the work, and each body brings its own history, pacing, and capacity for change.HOW THE WORK UNFOLDSMy work helps you meet your patterns, and yourself, with compassion and presence — sometimes within a session, sometimes afterward, sometimes much later, on a walk or mid-sentence. As that happens, the energy your system had been spending on holding is freed for other things. You see yourself more clearly, and space opens for new choices and new ways of being. From there, the work becomes about building enough safety and resources — within you, and around you — to explore what these patterns were protecting and then in time, to meet the wisdom, beneath them.It unfolds in an order the body chooses, at a pace that feels safe. You can't hurry it, and you don't need to. Each step opens once the one before it feels steady enough.A SHARED PROCESS
We do this together. It isn't something done to you while you lie there; you're part of it. What your part looks like changes every time, and it's usually quieter than people expect. Sometimes it's just being here, breathing, letting yourself notice what comes up. Sometimes your body wants to move a little: a deeper breath, a stretch that asks to happen. And sometimes it's very still, and in that stillness you drop into your body and feel whatever's been waiting for your attention. There's no doing it "right." You just have to show up and be willing to notice.
A lot of people feel lighter straight after a session, calmer, more here. That's real and it counts. But it isn't the goal. Over time, what you feel on the table can grow into something steadier that you carry into ordinary life. This sits happily alongside other things, like meditation, counselling, psychology or talk therapy, and often what you're working on there lands more fully in the body. It isn't a quick fix. It's a process you move through.WHO THIS WORK IS FORYou don't need a diagnosis or a clear explanation to come. You don't even need a goal. Often it starts with nothing more than a feeling that something's a bit off, and a wish to understand yourself better. Wherever you are, whether you're just starting to wonder or a long way down the track, this work can meet you there. It might suit you if you:- feel stressed, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself
- keep running into physical or emotional patterns you don't fully understand
- catch yourself responding to things in ways that feel automatic
- have chronic pain and need support
- have tried the symptom-focused approaches and sensed something deeper was being missed
- want more nervous system capacity
- are going through a stretch of change or uncertainty
- are curious about how the body, emotions and awareness fit together
- just feel there's more going on under the surface
You don't have to have it worked out. Change doesn't need forcing. It can start with noticing.
